Drink water first
Even a little dehydration can make thinking feel slow. Keep a bottle on your desk and finish it by mid-afternoon.
Get daylight and move
Ten minutes outside gives you light and fresh air. Walk, stretch or climb stairs. Movement sends more blood to the brain and wakes up the body.
Break work into short rounds
Work for 45 minutes, then rest for five. Short rounds keep your attention sharp. When you rest, look at something far away to relax your eyes.

Support focus from the inside
Nutrients such as L-theanine from tea and bacopa from Ayurveda are often used in calm-focus blends. Lutein from leafy greens is found in the eye and brain. VidaCalm brings several of these into one daily capsule.
Eat a steady lunch
A lunch with protein, vegetables and whole grains gives you slow energy. Sugary lunches often lead to a crash two hours later.
